Apartments are separate from the main property, lacking the views advertised. No standby power during load shedding means sporadic electricity for up to 7 hours. Light sleepers may find noise from the corridor distracting.

The location was excellent, close to local vineyards.

I was disappointed in the lack of proper check-in procedures, which left me feeling unwelcome after a long flight. Complicated keys added to the inconvenience, and I felt unsafe leaving my partner locked in the room. Furthermore, the lack of backup power during load shedding made nightly activities challenging, as I returned to a dark room.

the room was a bit dark, with no view, and overlooked by guests at the pool, how quaint. I also can’t believe there’s no backup generator during load shedding, how common is that? Also, as a special guest, I expected at least a welcome drink or something, but nothing. I almost wrote a good review—guess I just couldn’t.

I loved my stay in the Loft room, with its quirky decor and fine garden views. The cozy outdoor area and small pool provided the perfect retreat for relaxation. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast that fueled my adventures each day!

We had a lovely stay in the loft with a comfy bed and a fantastic breakfast! The inviting garden was stunning, but the pool was smaller than expected. Definitely returning!

My stay at bonne esperance boutique guest house during this summer exceeded expectations. Having previously stayed in stellenbosch, this time the stylish ambiance and attentive service made it extra special. The breakfast options were fantastic, and the lovely garden added to the charm.

the wifi was spotty at times.

Had an awesome time with friends! We explored a local vineyard and visited the Oude Libertas amphitheatre for their performances. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, really enhancing our experience. The rooms were very comfortable, and breakfast always hit the spot. You’ve got everything you need within walking distance, and the pool was a nice addition too.

One small issue was the thin walls in the studio apartments. You could hear housekeeping early in the morning, which might disrupt some sleep.

Loved the stay! The Deluxe Double Room had a balcony and was super clean. Enjoyed the comfortable bed and all the amenities—like a coffee machine and minibar. The garden was beautiful, and the pool area was perfect for relaxation. Michelle was incredible, super helpful with everything!
